USABILITY & REFLECTIONS

Designing an engaging, practical student learning experience requires constant feedback and improvement. That is why we conducted usability testing for the Spanish Blended Learning course. The goal was simple: ensure the course is not just aligned with the learning outcomes but also provides a smooth, enjoyable experience for students, whether they are teachers, learners, or members of the general public.

We invited various people to try the course to get a wide range of perspectives, and their insights were invaluable. Teachers helped pinpoint where the course could better serve students in the classroom, while students and general users gave us feedback on how easy it was to navigate and interact with the content.

Overall, the course was well-structured and met its objectives—85.7% of our participants agreed it was easy to follow. However, there were also some challenges, particularly for those using the course on mobile devices.

Thanks to this feedback, we now have a clear roadmap for improvement. We mainly focus on making the course more mobile-friendly and enhancing the clarity of instructions. These changes will help us ensure students can focus on what matters: learning Spanish in an engaging, accessible way.
