Personal Reflection and Innovation Proposal

    When I reflected on the alternative professional learning (PL) model, I advocated for implementation in our organization, and the following question arose: WHY? My motivation for pursuing this approach stems from the need to adapt to the changing demands of the educational environment and enhance the learning experience of our students. This motivation comes from direct observation of the opportunities and challenges we face in our school and my commitment to the growth and development of our students.

        I embarked on a personal and professional discovery journey throughout this project's development. The idea to explore an alternative professional learning model arose from my deep commitment to improving our organization's education quality and providing our students with meaningful and relevant learning experiences.

      As for the WHAT?, my innovation proposal aims to leverage the interest of our sixth-grade students in taking electives such as Spanish 1 in middle school; this entails creating an online Spanish course based on a COVA (Choice, Ownership, Voice, Authenticity) approach, allowing students to have personalized and meaningful learning experiences. 

My initial implementation plan details the steps of HOW? to carry out this alternative PL model, including the design, preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. While creating my work, I researched practical learning approaches, suitable technological platforms, and our school's specific needs. I collaborated with colleagues and consulted external sources, such as Dwayne Harapnuik's resources and relevant books on blended learning and instructional design, to inform my proposal. Throughout this process, an appropriate, effective, and sustainable initiative was developed in our educational context.

In summary, my innovation proposal and implementation plan reflect my commitment to our student's growth and development and my ability to research, analyze, and design creative and practical solutions to our organization's challenges.
