Contribution to Your Learning and the Learning Community 5318/5320

As I reach the end of this academic phase, I want to proudly share my journey through these courses and how they have enriched my commitment to self-directed learning and personal growth. I have invested significant effort into improving my skills and contributing to our learning community. By sharing ideas, participating in discussions, and providing support, my goal has been to foster an environment where we can all learn and grow together.

EDLD 5318 Instructional Design in Online Learning

During course 5318, my team and I explored various online learning resources to evaluate their effectiveness. From the outset, we aimed to understand the elements that make for sound instructional design, which led us to create a blended course and a functional prototype for our classes. As we progressed, we delved into research, identified challenges, and posed vital questions that enriched our approach.

Each phase of the project allowed us to apply what we learned. We carefully analyzed the essential components of online learning design to ensure our final project was practical and well-structured. We developed a clear strategy for the course and continuously checked its usability, reflecting on how our teaching impacted student learning and the success of the course.

EDLD 5320 Synthesis of Digital Learning and Leadership.

Class 5320 allowed me to revisit and update my innovation plans. Reflecting on this journey has been truly enlightening. This class has connected my past experiences with my future goals through meaningful activities like the COVA reflection, the innovation proposal update, and the journal synthesis.

My experience in Class 5320 taught me the value of collaboration and reflection. It has propelled my growth and shaped how I connect theory to practice. I’m excited to carry these lessons forward, knowing they will enhance my impact on students and the learning community.

Key Contributions.

Throughout both courses, I actively reflected critically on my learning journey, consistently reviewing my progress and identifying areas for improvement. I celebrated our achievements while supporting my peers in their challenges. This sense of community made a significant difference in our learning experience.

Collaborating with my core group—Joyce Torres and Neylly Guedez—was invaluable. Our diverse perspectives enriched our discussions and deepened our understanding of the subjects. This teamwork allowed us to analyze different viewpoints and improve the quality of our work.

Revisiting assignments and reflecting on the review process demonstrated my commitment to learning and highlighted what I have gained. Completing all readings and resources showcased my dedication to the course and effective time management.

Self-Assessment for Courses 5318 and 5320

While these courses are not closely related, they complement each other very well, creating a unified learning experience. The readings and assignments from each class aligned, allowing me to apply what I learned holistically. Based on my self-assessment, I evaluated my performance as follows:

5318 Instructional Design in Online Learning: 100/100

5320 Synthesis of Digital Learning and Leadership: 100/100

In summary, this journey has been a significant step in my personal and professional growth, and I look forward to continuing to apply these insights in my teaching.
