The COVA Approach (Choice, Ownership, Voice, Authenticity) can potentially transform my experience in the Ed Tech/ADL program. This approach could address issues with traditional didactic models by allowing me to make decisions about my learning, take ownership of my educational process, express my voice, and engage in authentic experiences. While I would face challenges in accountability and decision-making, the benefits include personalized learning, control over my progress, authentic experiences, and expressing my unique perspective. I will use diverse resources, such as tutorials and multimedia content, to develop my voice in my ePortfolio. Fostering student agency involves taking responsibility and actively participating in decision-making. COVA influences the learner's mindset by aligning its principles with a growth mindset, promoting resilience and a willingness to embrace challenges as learning opportunities. I possess a learner's mindset but will seek improvement through self-assessment and continuous reflection. The COVA Approach offers a valuable perspective for more effective and meaningful learning in the Ed Tech/ADL program.
